Character Counts Mid Shore, Inc. is a 501c(3) non-profit organization in the State of Maryland. We offer a variety of ways for you to support our efforts to enhance character development throughout the Mid Shore. We welcome your financial support, which is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Many of our activities have specific needs, such as the prize money awarded to students and teachers in our Laws of Life Essay Contest. We provide a $50 cash prize to a winner from each participating school, and and additional $150 to the overall middle and high school level winners. Your support makes this possible. The grand prize is the Albert Kennerly Character Counts Award, a $2,500 scholarship, provided by the Owen Cheatham Foundation and Ken Kennerly in honor of his father.
Other program expenses include maintaining a library of materials for our hundreds of Winners Walk Tall volunteers, appreciation events for our volunteers, and character building posters, incentives and other resources for teachers and administrators.
We'd like to thank our many business partners and institutional donors, who have provided many of the resources needed to keep Character Counts Mid Shore working to improve the lives of everyone in our communities.
